At Wendy’s, skip the fried chicken sandwich and go for grilled

The fast-food restaurant has added the bacon queso chicken sandwich to its menu, it also offers a better-for-you grilled alternative.

We’ve been led to believe that a fast-food chicken sandwich is always better than a beef burger, but a cheesy loaded chicken sandwich is meal mayhem. These two chicken sandwiches are far from similar. Wendy’s new bacon queso chicken sandwich adds the favourite cheesy queso sauce with bacon, shredded cheese and crispy (fried) chicken — mouth-watering but waistline expanding. You can still get a filling chicken sandwich with toppings and a tasty sauce with the Wendy’s grilled chicken sandwich, which is a grilled chicken breast fillet marinated in herbs. This better choice has less than half the fat, a third fewer calories and half the sodium of the bacon queso sandwich
